Sausage and mash

Sausage and mash

12th January 2012

After the huge success of our amazing pie, mash and gravy we’re launching mini Sausage, mash and gravy tomorrow.

It’s not a big, fat lunch. It’s a little Friday treat that won’t burst your wallet or your waistline.

Roll on Friday…

Ones winter warmer

Ones winter warmer

7th December 2011

Today’s pie is my favourite: Ham hock and pea. Served with crushed, minted peas, mash and gravy. And people wonder why I like winter….

Seven Seeded Artisan Bakers

Seven Seeded Artisan Bakers

7th December 2011

This afternoon we visited our baker, Seven Seeded where all our breads are created by hand.  The bakers  are recruited from France and have moved over to London to work at Seven Seeded. They showed us how they make our breads and this picture shows a focaccia being topped with rosemary. This actual loaf will be delivered to our shop on Eastcastle before dawn tomorrow.

This is why our bread is so exceptionally good, thanks guys!

The Campaign Wall

The Campaign Wall

10th October 2011

We have finally completed our Campaign wall at Charlotte Street. It’s plastered in front covers of Campaign mag from the 1980s.

Thanks to the editorial team at Haymarket for sourcing all these vintage covers. The wall looks great especially as our Charlotte Street shop already seems to be used as an agency break out room…

Our new Pop-up store is open in Spitalfields

Our new Pop-up store is open in Spitalfields

28th September 2011

We have opened a new pop-up coffee outlet with our friends at General Store. Created by Gordon Richardson, Design Director of Topman and Matthew Murphy, Creative Director of Bstore London, the space will feature an edited selection of core Topman pieces along with Reynolds coffee.

It’s opposite spitalfields market at 98 Commercial street and we’re really excited to be reaching east with our really rather good coffee…

It's like the summer that never was.

Charlotte Streets new (old) look

Charlotte Streets new (old) look

16th September 2011

Well, it's taken a while but Charlotte Street is looking much better. The 70s wall unit, reel to reel stereo and 80's spotlights have all come together like they did in my head!
Come over and feel the difference.

Feeding the five hundred

Feeding the five hundred

8th September 2011

Today we put together 500 packed lunch bags. Each bag had a box with two salads and one of our amazing tarts. Along with cutlery and a napkin we also had a voucher for a free coffee tomorrow.

We handed out the sample bags for free and in 20 minutes they were gone! Sorry if you missed out but we hope you liked it if you were lucky enough to grab your self a treat.

A whole new look at Charlotte Street

A whole new look at Charlotte Street

14th August 2011

Well, that was a very long weekend. We’ve spent our time ripping out the dull back counter and have created something much more in keeping with Reynolds. We’ve got a Belfast sink, a window for a menu board and a 70’s wall unit to house all our gubbins.

There’s still more to do but it’s looking good so far…

Chewing gum art

Chewing gum art

7th August 2011

Ben Wilson has been in again and after a brief chat he agreed to paint one of his chewing gum pictures out side our shop on Charlotte Street. Ben paints on top of chewing gum stuck to the pavements.  That's what I call street art.  For anyone who hasn’t seen his work you can check it out here.

Ben has produced a piece for Reynolds and has used our birds logo to inspire his one eyed alien. Next time you’re in, keep your eyes peels, it’s right next to the bike lock outside the shop.

Petra – if you’re reading this, we thought you’d really like Ben’s work and hope you’ll drop in and see it some time.
